What are the advantages of driver self-registration?

Driver self-registration

A  driver self-registration system  offers the main advantage that drivers  can register themselves upon arrival without an employee having to register each driver personally.

The most important advantages

  • Reduced staffing requirements:  Registration is automated, thus relieving the burden on the gatehouse or dispatch department.
  • Multilingual messages: Every driver receives all important information in their native language, including safety instructions.
  • Shorter waiting times:  Drivers can register directly upon arrival instead of waiting for a contact person.
  • Available 24/7:  The system can also be used outside of normal office hours.
  • Structured process: Data such as driver, transport company, vehicle, license plate number and order can be systematically recorded. The Easy-Call software also helps with this.
  • Fewer errors:  Direct input by the driver reduces transmission errors during manual data entry.
  • Improved traceability:  It is documented when a driver arrived and what their assignment was. The return of the pager is also recorded.
  • Automatic routing:  After registration, the system can, for example, send the driver to a waiting area, ramp, or scales.
  • Automatic notification:  The responsible department can be informed of the arrival, e.g. via pager or our Easy-Call software.
  • Integration into existing systems:  Our self-registration system can be connected to existing ERP systems or yard management systems, for example.

Example of a typical process

Truck arrives → Driver checks in at the terminal → Order is checked → Driver remains in waiting position → Driver is called with ramp number → Driver receives ramp number → Everyone is informed via Easy-Call software → The end of the recording process is also noted.

This creates a largely automated process from arrival to check-in.

An optional barrier control system is also available.
